Calendar of Events
AG and Open Space Sonoma County
The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District (Ag + Open Space) is actively recruiting for two new youth members (ages 16-24) to join our Advisory Committee for the academic school year (Aug 2019 – Jun 2020). This is a great opportunity for interested youth to gain experience in natural resource and agricultural land conservation, as well as exposure to local government.
How do interested young people apply? For more information and/or an application please visit the Ag + Open Space website or contact Amy Ricard at (707) 565-7261. Applications for the 2019-2020 youth membership positions will be accepted until the positions are filled.
Ceres Community Project
At Ceres, teens are the primary chefs and gardeners growing and cooking organic, nutritious meals for community members who face serious illness. Working in a commercial production kitchen and a production garden, teens have prepared over 700,000 meals in Marin and Sonoma Counties in the last 12 years.
Attend and orientation and join the Ceres Teen Program to volunteer as a teen Chef/Gardener at https://www.ceresproject.org/volunteerTeens.html
